First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of PET/CT scan that uses a special tracer to see scarring (fibrosis) in the kidneys of people with chronic kidney disease. The goal is to find a safe, noninvasive way to monitor kidney damage without needing repeated biopsies. About 150 adults will be scanned, and the results will be compared to standard lab tests and biopsy findings.
