First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of PET/CT scan that uses a special tracer to see scarring (fibrosis) in the kidneys of people with chronic kidney disease. The goal is to find a safe, repeatable way to monitor kidney damage without needing a biopsy. Researchers will enroll 150 adults who already need a kidney biopsy and compare the scan results to the biopsy findings.
