Can a class for families ease the strain of bipolar disorder?
NCT ID NCT06176001
Summary
This study tested whether group education classes for family members of people with bipolar disorder could help. Over 200 relatives were randomly assigned to either take the classes right away or be on a waiting list. The main goal was to see if the classes reduced day-to-day mood swings in the relatives and if that, in turn, helped stabilize the mood of the patient they care for.
