Time-Restricted eating: a new family approach to tackle childhood obesity?

NCT ID NCT05107726

First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether limiting eating to a 10-12 hour window each day (time-restricted eating) helps parents and children lose weight. 36 parent-child pairs were randomly assigned to either time-restricted eating or standard healthy eating advice. Over 12 weeks, both groups received coaching, Bluetooth scales, and toothbrushes to track progress. The goal was to see if simply changing when you eat, without changing what you eat, can reduce BMI.
