Summary
This study aims to understand how the trillions of bacteria living in our bodies (the microbiome) influence health and disease, especially cancer and heart disease. Researchers at NYU will collect samples and health information from 16,000 adults over 40 over time. The goal is to build a large resource that can help discover links between the microbiome and chronic diseases.
