New study: active learning may keep seniors on their feet

NCT ID NCT07515053

First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a more engaging, interactive teaching method works better than a standard lecture to reduce older adults' fear of falling and prevent actual falls. About 100 people aged 60+ who have fallen in the past year will take part. They will attend either an active or a lecture-style class, then be followed for 6 months to track falls and concerns.
