Summary
This study looks at 120 adults with certain blood cancers (polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, or pre-myelofibrosis) who are starting their first treatment. Researchers want to find out why some patients respond well to standard drugs (hydroxyurea or pegylated interferon) while others do not. They will analyze genetic and immune markers in the blood to identify factors that predict treatment success, with the goal of personalizing therapy from the start.
