NCT ID NCT05059041

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using eye drops to widen the pupils (dilation) helps get a more accurate glasses prescription for people with Down syndrome. Many people with Down syndrome have unique eye shapes that standard eye exams may miss. The researchers compared glasses made with and without dilation to see which gave better vision. 42 people with Down syndrome took part in this completed Phase 2 trial.
