Eye test spots Alzheimer's early: no needles, no pain!
NCT ID NCT06023446
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study uses a safe, painless eye scan (OCT) to see if early Alzheimer's can be detected by measuring how support cells in the retina respond to light. Researchers will compare 100 people with early signs of Alzheimer's to those without any signs. If successful, this could lead to a simple screening test for Alzheimer's years before symptoms appear.
