Surgeons test new Eye-Peeling method to save sight in diabetes
NCT ID NCT07271719
Summary
This study compares two versions of a delicate eye surgery for people with advanced diabetic eye disease. Surgeons will test whether leaving a tiny, central patch of a thin eye membrane (foveal sparing) leads to better vision and healthier retinas after surgery than removing it completely. The goal is to find the safest and most effective surgical approach to control this vision-threatening complication of diabetes.
