Could an eye scan spot Alzheimer's before symptoms appear?

NCT ID NCT06023446

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple, painless eye scan can detect the earliest biological signs of Alzheimer's disease before memory problems begin. Researchers will compare retinal images from people with early chemical markers of Alzheimer's to those without any markers. The goal is to understand if changes in eye cells can serve as an early warning sign and help guide future treatment research.
