Summary

This study tests whether a structured eye exercise program can improve sleep quality in older adults (65+) living in a nursing home. Participants will do eye exercises three times a week for four weeks, guided by a researcher. The goal is to see if these exercises lead to better sleep and healthier sleep habits.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
oculomotor exercise program
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to improve sleep quality in older adults living in nursing homes.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 68 participants. The exercises may not improve sleep for everyone, and results may not apply to older adults outside nursing homes.
