First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether special eye drops (esculin and digitalis glycosides) can improve near vision in people with presbyopia, the age-related difficulty focusing on close objects. 62 adults aged 40-55 received the drops, and researchers measured vision improvements over 30 days. The goal is to offer a drug-based alternative to reading glasses.
