First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study aims to find out which hospitalized patients are more likely to experience side effects from a specific eye drop combination (tropicamide/phenylephrine) used to dilate the pupil before eye surgery. Researchers will monitor 1,000 patients before and after receiving the drops, checking vital signs and asking about any reactions. The goal is to better understand what factors increase the risk of side effects, such as high blood pressure or eye discomfort.
