First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study aims to understand why some hospitalized patients have side effects from eye drops (tropicamide/phenylephrine) given before eye surgery. Researchers will check vital signs and ask patients about side effects at several time points after the drops are given. The goal is to find out which patients are more likely to have problems, such as high blood pressure or eye discomfort. 1,000 adults scheduled for eye surgery at one hospital in Mexico will take part.
