Scientists grow Mini-Eyes in a dish to crack code of rare birth defects
NCT ID NCT06408701
Summary
This study aims to better understand the causes of eye birth defects by creating 3D models of eye tissue from patient stem cells. Researchers will grow these 'mini-eye' models in the lab to study the genetic and cellular problems that lead to malformations. The goal is to create a better tool for research that could one day help develop new treatments.
