First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study will test whether using a special eyelid cleanser (EPD-09-25) before and after cataract surgery can reduce bacteria on the eye and improve dry eye symptoms. About 100 adults scheduled for cataract surgery will be randomly assigned to use the cleanser or receive no extra eyelid hygiene. The goal is to see if this simple cleaning step helps prevent infections and keeps eyes more comfortable after surgery.
