First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a special eyelid cleanser (EPD-09-25) before and after cataract surgery can lower bacteria on the eye and reduce dry eye symptoms. About 100 adults scheduled for cataract surgery will be randomly assigned to use the cleanser or receive no extra eyelid hygiene. Researchers will compare bacterial levels and dry eye complaints between the two groups.
