Scientists to probe metabolism in people with extreme obesity

Summary
This study will examine how people with extreme obesity (BMI of 60 or higher) burn energy and fat. Ten participants will spend 23 hours in a metabolic chamber and drink special water to track their energy use over two weeks. The goal is to better understand metabolism in this group, not to test a treatment.
