New drainage technique may prevent dangerous leaks after pancreatic surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether placing a temporary drain outside the body during Whipple surgery can prevent pancreatic fistulas (leaks) in people with a soft pancreas. About 100 participants will be enrolled. The goal is to find the best way to reduce this serious complication and improve long-term outcomes.
