First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study was designed to see if taking tranexamic acid (TXA) pills for 10 days after ACL reconstruction surgery reduces pain and improves recovery in people aged 14 to 22. Participants would have received either TXA or a placebo, and researchers planned to measure pain, knee movement, strength, and return to sports over two years. The trial was withdrawn before enrolling any participants.
