Video game workout could ward off dementia in seniors

Summary

This study tests a digital program called Exercogs® that combines brain games, physical exercise, and social activities using augmented reality. The goal is to see if it can prevent or slow cognitive decline in adults aged 55 and older who have risk factors for dementia. One hundred fifty participants will be randomly assigned to either the Exercogs® program or a standard exercise group, both meeting three times a week for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in thinking, physical function, and social participation.
