Scientists seek safer ways for sick kids to play and exercise
NCT ID NCT05359991
Summary
This study aims to create better tools for measuring physical fitness in children with chronic health conditions like cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, or long-term effects from COVID-19. Researchers will track 240 children and teens over several years, measuring their bodies' responses to exercise, activity levels, and blood markers. The goal is to develop a new set of safe and helpful exercise tests for doctors and researchers to use with kids who have ongoing health challenges.
