Scientists test if exercise helps bodies use protein better in older diabetics
NCT ID NCT07477067
Summary
This study aims to understand how a 12-week exercise program changes how the body uses protein from food in older adults with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare 15 adults with diabetes to 15 healthy adults, measuring protein efficiency, fitness, and gut bacteria before and after the exercise program. The goal is to gather knowledge about how exercise might improve metabolic health, not to provide a direct treatment.
