Simple exercises keep older women on their feet, prevent dangerous falls

Summary

This study tested whether a year-long exercise program could help prevent falls in older women. Thirty-two healthy, independent women over 65 completed structured sessions combining strength, balance, and flexibility exercises. Results showed the program improved their balance and functional independence, suggesting it could be an effective strategy to reduce fall risk.
