Can guided exercise help muscle disease patients walk farther?
NCT ID NCT06716931
Summary
This study is testing whether a physical therapist-guided exercise program can help people with myotonic dystrophy type 2 (DM2) improve their strength and walking ability. Twenty-four adults with DM2 will try different schedules of supervised and home-based exercise over six months. Researchers will measure changes in muscle strength, how far participants can walk in six minutes, and muscle composition using a painless electrical scan.
