New exercise unit tested to help kids with cerebral palsy use their arms
NCT ID NCT07233031
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special exercise program in a universal exercise unit could improve arm function and strength in children with spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy. Forty children, aged 5-9, were split into two groups: one received standard physical therapy, and the other received standard therapy plus the special exercise program. Researchers measured arm skills and muscle strength before and after three months of treatment to see which approach worked better.
