New exercise unit trial aims to help kids with cerebral palsy use their arms better

NCT ID NCT07233031

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special exercise program in a 'Universal Exercise Unit' could improve arm function and strength in children with a type of cerebral palsy that causes one-sided weakness and stiffness. Forty children, aged 5 to 9, were split into two groups. One group received standard physical therapy, while the other received the standard therapy plus the special exercise program, and their progress was measured over three months.
