Sweat before you talk: new study tests Exercise-Boosted therapy for depression

Summary

This study looks at whether doing moderate aerobic exercise right before a therapy session helps people with major depression get more out of their treatment. One hundred adults will either exercise or rest quietly before each of 8 weekly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions. Researchers will measure how strong the bond with the therapist is and how much depression symptoms improve.
