Brain zaps during workouts: can they stop exercise pain for fibromyalgia?

NCT ID NCT07212829

Summary

This study aims to understand why exercise often makes pain worse for people with chronic widespread pain or fibromyalgia. Researchers will test if a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique (tDCS) used during exercise can help reduce this pain flare-up. The study will enroll 120 people (60 patients and 60 healthy volunteers) to compare the effects of real versus sham brain stimulation during workouts.
