HIIT or combo workouts: which boosts health more in menopause?
NCT ID NCT07302191
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at how two different exercise programs—high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and a mix of endurance and strength training—affect health markers in obese women after menopause. 58 women participated for 12 weeks, doing exercise three times a week. The goal was to see changes in body composition, heart health indicators, and oxidative stress (a type of cell damage). The results help show that both types of exercise can improve health in this group.
