Walking program tested as secret weapon to kick smoking habit
NCT ID NCT01915810
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a walking program to standard quit-smoking methods helps African American adults stop smoking more successfully. Researchers are comparing three approaches: starting exercise before the quit date, starting on the quit date, or using only counseling and nicotine patches. The goal is to see if physical activity makes quitting easier and more sustainable for this community.
