Leg lifts for nerve health: exercise trial targets rare muscle decline
NCT ID NCT07152197
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether an 8-week resistance exercise program can improve muscle quality, physical function, and quality of life in young people aged 15 to 29 with hereditary sensorimotor polyneuropathy (including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease). Participants will do supervised leg exercises three times a week, with weights gradually increased. The study compares results between those with the condition and healthy volunteers to see if those with greater baseline weakness benefit more.
