Exercise study for cancer survivors halted early

NCT ID NCT03284346

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a specific type of exercise (circuit, interval-based aerobic and resistance training) could improve metabolic health in overweight or obese breast and prostate cancer survivors who had finished treatment. The goal was to see if the exercise could help with weight loss, fitness, and reducing risk factors like insulin resistance and high blood pressure. The study was terminated early and enrolled only 23 participants, so results are limited.
