NCT ID NCT03035851

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether regular aerobic exercise can help prevent Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in older adults who are at higher risk. Researchers will enroll 264 inactive men and women aged 50-80 with mild memory concerns but no dementia. Participants will be assigned to either a 6-month aerobic exercise program or a stretching-toning group, and their thinking skills, brain blood flow, and fitness will be measured over time.
