First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at three ways to help older adults (65+) with type 2 diabetes: a home exercise program, a plant-based Mediterranean diet, or a diabetes pill called empagliflozin. After 10 weeks, those on the diet or pill also started exercising. The goal was to see which approach best improved body composition, blood sugar, and physical function. 100 participants were followed for 20 weeks.
