NCT ID NCT04652609

First seen Nov 18, 2025

Summary

This study tests whether a special exercise program, called PRESIONA, can prevent nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

therapeutic exercise combined with blood flow restriction

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a drug-free way to prevent painful nerve damage caused by chemotherapy, improving quality of life for breast cancer patients.

What could go wrong

This is a very small early study (25 people) with no comparison to other prevention methods. The exercise program may be hard to follow, and results may not apply to all patients.
