First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a 5-week exercise program (a mix of aerobic and strength training) can improve muscle health, body composition, and quality of life for people who have had bariatric surgery. About 84 adults aged 18 to 60 who had sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass will take part. Half will do the supervised exercise program, and the other half will continue with usual care. The goal is to see if early exercise helps recovery.
