Summary
This study tested a more intense chemotherapy plan for people aged 2 to 50 with Ewing sarcoma that has spread to bones or bone marrow (not just lungs). The goal was to see if this approach could help more patients become cancer-free for at least 18 months. 45 participants received a strong induction chemo followed by high-dose chemo with stem cell support. The trial is complete, and results help guide future treatment for this hard-to-treat group.
