New drug combo aims to slow rare aging disease in kids

Summary
This study tests a combination of two drugs, everolimus and lonafarnib, in children with progeria, a rare disease that causes rapid aging. The goal is to find the safest dose of everolimus when added to lonafarnib and see if the combination helps with weight gain and blood vessel health. About 80 participants who are already taking lonafarnib will take part at Boston Children's Hospital.
