Hidden artery may hold key to erection recovery after prostate surgery
NCT ID NCT07597798
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether finding and protecting an extra artery to the penis (called the accessory pudendal artery) during robotic prostate surgery can help men recover erections. About 40 men with good sexual function before surgery will have their MRI scans checked for this artery. The goal is to see if this approach is possible and worth testing in a larger study.
