NCT ID NCT07253090
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at how two common endoscopic treatments for bleeding veins in the esophagus (band ligation and sclerotherapy) change pressure in the liver's portal vein over 3-6 months. Researchers will use a special ultrasound technique to measure pressure more accurately. The goal is to understand whether these treatments affect portal pressure, which could help improve care for people with cirrhosis.
