New disinfectant could slash heart device infections

Summary
This study looks at whether using a disinfectant called TauroPace during heart device surgeries (like pacemaker placement or replacement) can reduce infections. About 2300 people will be observed for up to 12 months after surgery. The goal is to see if this simple step makes these common procedures safer.
