New disinfectant may slash heart device infections

Summary
This study looks at whether using a disinfectant called TauroPace during heart device surgeries (like pacemaker placement or replacement) can prevent infections. About 2300 patients across Europe will be followed for up to 12 months after surgery. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces the risk of serious infections.
