Robotic prostate surgery may raise throat complication risk

Summary

This study watched 50 men having prostate surgery to see if the special positions used in robotic surgery increase pressure on the breathing tube and cause more sore throats or hoarseness. Half had robotic surgery, half had open surgery. The goal was to learn how to prevent throat discomfort after surgery.
