Robotic surgery breathing tube pressure linked to sore throats
NCT ID NCT07242144
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study watched 50 men having prostate surgery to see if the special positions used in robotic surgery raise pressure in the breathing tube and cause more throat pain, hoarseness, or trouble swallowing. Half had robotic surgery, half had open surgery. The goal was to learn if monitoring and adjusting tube pressure during surgery can help prevent these common side effects.
