First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a nerve block (ESP block) to general anesthesia can lower pain and the amount of painkillers needed during lower back surgery. 50 adults having elective spine surgery took part. The goal was to see if the block helps patients use fewer opioids and have more stable vital signs during the operation.
