Summary
This study tested whether an ultrasound-guided nerve block (ESP block) can reduce pain and the amount of anesthesia and opioids needed during lumbar spine surgery. Fifty adults having elective surgery for a slipped vertebra took part. The goal was to see if adding the block leads to better pain control and fewer side effects.
