Summary
This study tested whether a special nerve block called the erector spinae plane (ESP) block can improve pain control after flexible ureteroscopy, a common surgery for kidney stones. 70 adults were randomly assigned to receive either the ESP block plus standard pain care or standard care alone. Researchers measured pain scores, opioid use, and side effects like nausea in the first 24 hours after surgery.
