First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This observational study aims to see if a specific type of immune cell (Tpex) found in cancer-free lymph nodes can predict whether esophageal cancer will completely respond to immunotherapy given before surgery. Researchers will study 88 people with esophageal cancer who are scheduled for surgery and immunotherapy. The goal is to find a better way to predict treatment success than current methods.
